What's been going on...

Both the 7th and 8th graders worked hard on projects.  It was nice to bring the laptops into the classroom to work on these

The 7th graders did an online lesson on graphing vs. time and distance and learned a lot! Currently, they are working on a presentation on Unit 5 in Bible.  They will summarize and come up with visuals to support what they learned in this unit about many of the Old Testament prophets.

 

 

The 8th graders worked hard categorizing real numbers, then had a lot of fun during their Christmas party!

 

 

Great Memory Verse App!

A student showed me a really cool app today.  It has some neat practices for learning memory verses, and the best part: IT INCLUDES THE NIV 1984 VERSION!  The cost is $2.99, but for kids who struggle with memorizing or motivation in memorizing, this might be a good option.
**I heard that this might be free on a Kindle.

Almost there!

There are a few finishing touches that need to be completed, but our newly remodeled room has gone through quite the transformation in the last week!  The smartboard is working, the document camera ready, and whiteboards just calling to be written on.  I can't wait!

A huge thanks must be given to all those who worked hard on this project - the middle school renovation is beautiful and very appreciated.

On a side note, I should mention that our school's theme is not specifically The Lord's Prayer as a mentioned in a previous post, but instead another verse concerning prayer.  James 5:16: "The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
